As the youngest team in the NFL, the Texans haven’t had the same experiences as some older franchises. The team played its first season in 2002, following a hiatus from football in Houston after the Oilers departed after nearly 40 years in the city. However, just because the team doesn’t yet have the history of older franchises doesn’t mean that the Texans are any less relevant or their fans any less passionate.
The Texans have repeatedly made the playoffs in recent years and look like a team to watch this postseason. The team boasts a strong roster stocked with talent, headlined by superstar defensive end JJ Watt, marquee wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and electric young quarterback Deshaun Watson. Houston has embraced its new team over the last 20 years, but this could be the season when they are finally rewarded with a Lombardi Trophy?
