NFL’s Salute to Service

The NFL’s Salute to Service games where hosted last week, where teams honored past and present veterans. Many games featured current military members presenting their colors at halftime or before the game. The Indianapolis Colts invited families of fallen soldiers to attend and walk on the field before the game.

The NFL started the campaign #SaluteToService on Twitter, and had over 400,000 tweets in the first week it was active. They have raised almost $1.8 million for programs nationwide that support veterans and their families in 2017 alone. NFL coaches, players, and even cheerleaders are also helping to make an impact. Each year, the Salute to Service Award is presented to an NFL personnel that has worked hard to honor and help active military, veterans, and their families. You can see what the 32 nominees are doing to help service members and their families here.

The NFL is beginning to wrap up its season, but it isn’t too late to catch a few games. Being active military, it is hard to find a place to watch your team when you are constantly on the move. FanWide supports the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, and wants to help service members find a community where they belong, even when they are far from home.

Use the FanWide website or app to find games for your favorite NFL teams wherever you live or travel. Here are some of our most popular teams:
