Coming in at number 5 in FanWide’s Top 10 College Basketball Rankings is the Duke Blue Devils. The hiring of head coach Mike Krzyzewski catapulted the extraordinary success experienced by the Blue Devils over the past 39 years. The Hall of Fame head coach took over for the Blue Devils In 1980. During Coach Krzyzewski’s legendary career, he has become the winningest coach in Division 1 college basketball history and has won 4 national championships. “Coach K” has also done a tremendous job of recruiting the top high school players in the country. In the past 5 years, Coach K has recruited NBA lottery picks such as Jahlil Okafor, Brandon Ingram, Jayson Tatum, Marvin Bagley III, Zion Williamson, and RJ Barrett to play for the Blue Devils. Krzyzewski’s top notch recruiting shows his ability to adapt to the modern one-and-done era. The Blue Devil’s recent success has caused their fanbase to grow tremendously across the nation. Because of Duke’s recent success and their massive following, the Blue Devils place 5th on FanWide’s Top 10 College Basketball Team Rankings.

Top NFL Teams: #1 Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are the top team in FanWide’s NFL rankings. While the Green Bay Packers have dominated the rest of the NFL on the field with their 4 Super Bowl victories and 34 playoff wins, it is their unique connection to their fan base off the field that truly separates them from every other team. Located in the small city of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Lambeau Field sticks out from the houses and local restaurants that surround it. Green Bay may not have the glitz and glamour of a New York or Los Angeles but they have Packers football and they love it. Every Sunday, from September to December, Packers fans come together whether it be at a home game or at a local bar (at a FanWide Packers watch party) to support and root for the Packers. This tight-knit and close community is what makes the Packers fan base special and different from every other NFL team.

Top NFL Teams: #2 Dallas Cowboys

Coming in at number 2 in FanWide’s Top 10 NFL Team rankings is America’s Team, the Dallas Cowboys. Currently, the Cowboys have one of the youngest and most explosive offenses in the entire National Football League. Their young nucleus consists of quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Ezekiel Elliott, and wide receiver Amari Cooper. On the defensive side of the field, The ‘Boyz are loaded with playmakers such as defensive lineman Demarcus Lawrence, linebacker Jaylon Smith, and safety Byron Jones. With this talented core, the Cowboys were able to win the NFC East and advance to the NFC divisional round in 2018. While the Cowboys have been successful as of late, their historical success truly separates them from every other NFL team. The Cowboys have won a whopping 35 playoff games and 5 Super Bowls. America’s team is home to countless NFL greats such as Emmitt Smith, Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, and Tony Dorsett. Playing for America’s team comes with a lot of pressure and responsibility. This young and talented Cowboy roster is more than capable to handle these enormous expectations.

Top 10 College Basketball Teams: #9 Arizona Wildcats

Coming in at number 9 in FanWide’s Top 10 College Basketball Rankings is the Arizona Wildcats. While the Wildcats have not won a national championship since 1997, they have had a lot recent success. Ever since Arizona hired Sean Miller as the head coach in 2009, the Wildcats have seen an uptick in tournament appearances and regular season wins. Not only has Miller been able to drastically improve Arizona’s winning percentage, he has also had a lot of success recruiting the top high school basketball players. Former top recruits and current NBA stars such as Deandre Ayton, Stanley Johnson, Lauri Markkanen, and Aaron Gordon have helped stabilize and improve an Arizona Basketball program on the rise. With a top-3 overall recruiting class (which includes top point guard Nico Mannion) for 2019, the Arizona Wildcats future looks very bright. Because of Arizona’s recent success and their massive fanbase, the Wildcats place 9th in FanWide’s Top 10 College Basketball Team Rankings.

Coming in at number 5 in FanWide’s Top 10 NFL Team rankings is the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have a very storied past which includes many Super Bowl appearances and NFL legends. Superstars such as Reggie White, Brian Dawkins, and Randall Cunningham played with pride for the Green and White and will forever be remembered by the NFL community. These players set the tone for future Eagles players and fans. The Eagles play with a certain type of swagger and fury that is unprecedented in the NFL. This mindset extends to the bleachers. The Eagles have one of the most loyal and hardcore fan bases in the NFL and are always cheering for their team from Eagles game watch parties around the country, which is why it made FanWide’s list.

Top NFL Teams: #6 New York Giants

Placing number 6 in FanWide’s Top 10 NFL Team rankings is the New York Giants. While the Giants have disappointed as of late, their future looks very bright. General manager David Gettleman and head coach Pat Shurmur are building a young and elite offense around superstar running back Saquon Barkley and two-time Super Bowl MVP winner Eli Manning. In addition, the Giants are in a great position to add more young stars to their roster through the NFL Draft. Due to the recent trade of Odell Beckham Jr, the G-Men now find themselves with two picks in the first round. The Giants are in prime position to draft their quarterback of the future in either Kyler Murray or Dwayne Haskins or to add defensive center pieces such as Quinnen Williams, Montez Sweat, or Rashan Gary.  The Giants roster will continue to improve before the start of the 2019 NFL regular season.

Top NFL Teams: #10 Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks come in at #10 in the FanWide Top 10 NFL team ranking. The Seattle Seahawks are a well rounded team who have found successful recently. They are the winners of Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 which Russell Wilson, Marshawn “Beast Mode” Lynch, and the “Legion of Boom” willed them towards victory with FanWide’s own brand ambassador Cliff Avril starting the game with a sack.  Many of the players on the Super Bowl winning roster are still playing for the Seahawks today. While the Seahawks were unable to advance past the wild card round this past season, no NFL team ever wants to face them come playoff time. Around the league, the Seattle Seahawks are known for their crazy fan base which is commonly referred to as the 12th Man. The Seahawks’ fanbase is always loud and excited regardless of the rainy weather. While most of the Seahawks’ success occurred recently, they have still had some NFL greats in the past. Players such as Shaun Alexander and Steve Largent played major roles for the Seahawks in the past. While they only have one Super Bowl to celebrate, their future provides hope for Seahawks fans. With perennial Pro Bowler Russell Wilson returning along with a dominant defense their second Super Bowl appears to be on the horizon.

Introducing the Top NFL Teams

In the United States, football is by far the most prominent and popular sport. Every Sunday (and some Saturdays) from September to January, most Americans wake up with excitement and eagerness. Watching NFL games and rooting for a favorite team is part of American tradition. On average, NFL games tend to get 18 million viewers and the big games are consistently the most watched broadcasts every year. The next most popular league in America, the NBA, only gets around 1.8 million viewers per game. Considering how important football is to America, FanWide has decided to create its own ranking of the top 10 NFL franchises. Using FanWide’s unique data, this top 10 list includes the amount of Fan Clubs each team has around the nation. FanWide has evaluated all 32 NFL teams across both the AFC and the NFC. The top 10 teams have been successful in recent seasons as well as throughout history. They all have their fair share of Lombardi Trophies and are all considered “NFL Elites” relative to the rest of the league. In addition, all 10 NFL teams are big market teams with large and loyal fan bases. Due to their consistent prowess, every football player growing up wants to play for these 10 teams. These teams are considered the tip of the top and have succeeded for decades on and off the field.

Arizona Cardinals (Cards) NFL Watch Parties & Fan Club Events for ARI

Unfortunately for Arizona Cardinals fans, 2019 will not be the first year they get to see their team raise up the lombardi trophy. The Arizona Cardinals are coming off a disappointing 2018 season. After losing many close games, the Cardinals closed the season with a disappointing 3-13 record. Fortunately for the Arizona Cardinals fanbase, the team is starting to point in the right direction. They have a future franchise quarterback in Josh “the chosen one” Rosen, an established star running back in David Johnson, and legendary wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

In addition, the Cardinals just hired Kliff Kingsbury who is known around the league as an offensive mastermind. Kliff Kingsbury had great success coaching college football and is known for his superb job of developing the 2019 MVP Pat Mahomes. Many believe that Kingsbury will be able to develop Josh Rosen similarly to how he developed Mahomes at Texas Tech. With the recent success of Sean McVay, young offensive masterminds such as Kingsbury are in high demand. In an NFL era where elite offenses are all the rage, Kliff Kingsbury is the perfect hire for a young NFL team on the rise.
